Description of supervision approach:

I am friendly, down-to-earth and love to support other Speech and Language Therapists at all stages of their career. I provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental and reflective space for you to explore your thoughts. I bring curiosity and compassion to our conversations.

Rather than jumping to provide you with answers, I ask questions to open up new ways of thinking and empower you to find solutions that are relevant to you and your work. Where helpful, I can share reflections from my own clinical experience.

As a qualified coach, I bring my coaching skills into supervision to empower you to achieve your potential. Coaching helps to bridge the gap from where you are now and where you want to be, through a series of thought-provoking conversations fully centred on you and your goals.

If you don’t know where you want to be, coaching can help you to make sense of your situation, find a new perspective and enable you to make informed choices about your future. Coaching involves powerful questioning that promotes self-exploration and increased self-awareness. This creates much more potential for you unlock new perspectives to enable you to find the answers already within.

You may particularly benefit from my coaching style of supervision if:

  • You are new to independent practice or considering moving away from the NHS into the private field. Career transitions can feel overwhelming. Supervision/coaching can support you to create your ideal role, increase your confidence in selling your services and help you to achieve a healthy balance between life inside and outside of work.
  • You are an independent SLT with years of clinical experience but feeling more clueless when it comes to business skills. Think of me as your business coach as well as fellow SLT, who understands the challenges posed by this shift in roles!
  • You have been working in independent practice for a while but feel you are losing motivation or have hit a roadblock. A coaching approach would be particularly helpful in identifying the cause of stagnation, establishing new career goals and action plans to achieve these.

I am also committed to receiving regular supervision and coaching myself, which I find has a huge impact on my wellbeing, confidence and sense of direction in my work.

I can provide one-off supervision sessions to work through specific problems. Alternatively, I can offer regular supervision sessions as frequently as you wish.

You can book a 15 minute introductory Zoom call directly via my website where we will discuss whether we are a good fit to work together. Alternatively, you can book sessions (30, 60 or 90 minutes) directly via a link on my website.
