Description of supervision approach:
My ethos and approach are rooted in a firm belief that the supervisory relationship is equal. I aim to create a safe and supportive space in which the supervisee can trust in their own wisdom. I would describe my approach as non-judgemental, confidential, professional and with open enquiry. I use the skills I have gained from counselling skills training to ensure the supervisee feels listened to and valued. I encourage a person-centred approach, allowing a space for the supervisee to lead and use the time how they wish. I offer a free initial 30 minutes to explore if we will be a good fit and to understand the values, learning style and previous experience of supervision that the supervisee has.
